THE REGULARS:

Anne Doyle - The narrator of the series. She's the resident musician of Photon's Crossing and is usually in her corner with her lute or fiddle, though she sometimes appears on top of the bar. Her home universe is Victorian England which she escaped due to an unacceptable upcoming arranged marriage.

Samm - The proprietor of the tavern. She is an Amazon warrior who can be very intimidating when she wants to be. Almost nothing is known about her story except for the reason she left her clan...She liked men too much. Do not get her angry since because of her upbringing, she has a tendency to become violent.

Scarlet Louis - A highwayman and bandit who calls Photon's his second home. He is usually found playing cards or checkers with some of the regulars. Incredibly affable, he is liked by most everyone, except for the King's men. Fiercely loyal to his friends, he is like a big brother to Anne and will defend her at the slightest provocation.

Telrondil - A former elf-lord who abdicated his title after falling in love with the mortal woman Elizabeth in Photon's. He is now the handyman and jack-of-all-trades. He is also the tavern's supplier of elven wine, which makes him very well liked by Samm.

Elizabeth - Telrondil's human bondmate. Formally a busines executive from Los Angeles, she is now the bookkeeper for Photon's.

Tim - Not too much is known about Tim, though that is subject to change in the future. He can often be found with Louis and Anne playing cards or some other game. To Anne's dismay, he does not have a musical ear, but is willing to stomp his feet and sing along with the best of them.

Tevesha - Abandoned by her mother in an effort to save her life because she was believed to be a "demon child". Her eyes were too close to purple--believed to be a mark of a demon--her mother dropped her inside of Photon's. The poor woman was later stoned to death by her village. Now, Tevesha is the adopted daughter of Telrondil and Elizabeth and is doted on by the entire Photon's crowd.

Rupert Bradley - Anne's uncle (on her mother's side). He used to frequent Photon's when he was younger and recently found that his errant niece has made it her home. The only member of Anne's family to understand and support her, he is now a regular to the tavern and is delighted that he is once again enjoying the company of Anne.

The Talinums - Their planet was destroyed while they were away and so they are now the last of their kind. They first came to Photon's in an effort to numb their sorrows in drink and it was finally discovered that the only substance that would affect them was prune juice. Individually, they do not have names, though that is subject to change in the future.

Melthus - Telrondil's nephew. He is one of the waiters at Photon's Crossing, having decided to join his uncle there after he abdicated his title. He occasionally joins Anne in a musical romp on his pennywhistle, usually from on top of the bar.

VISITORS (in order of appearance):

Apollo - God of music and light. 'Nough said.

Mac - Elizabeth's former boss. Trust me, she's much happier now away from him.

Famind - "Fat-head elf" according to Samm. Telrondil's somewhat unwilling successor.

Hermes - Does he really need an introduction?

Tallamyn - A wizard who provides Samm with the spells needed in Photon's. He's usually pretty competent (hence why Samm uses him) save for that one small time...

Santa Claus - You know him, you love him. But do you know that he has mid-century crises?

Sasha - Vampire who lusted after Telrondil. Darn tooting that Elizabeth and Samm set her straight. :)

Pam - Elizabeth's mother. She visited Photon's once in her youth and was glad to have found it again. A bit put out at first at the lack of invitation to her daughter's wedding, she could not be happier with her elven son-in-law.

Tsaraat - A elven shadowmage whose downfall is that she cannot be noticed unless she initiates the contact. She's rightfully a regular, but she hasn't shown up in enough stories to warrant being placed in that category on this page. We'll see about her status in the future.

Mr. & Mrs. Doyle - First names unknown. Anne's controlling, overbearing parents who tried to marry her off against her will. Need I say more?

Tonenili - Navejo god of rain. He ended up in Photon's one night looking for his lost rain cloud.

Prince Galen & Princess Virony - Brother and sister who ran away from home because he did not wish to be king and she did not wish to marry.

Nana - Galen and Virony's nurse who was a witch in disguise. Last we heard from her, she, Galen, and Virony were living happily in a tower in the forest.

Cupid & Psyche - The god of love and his lover. Someone should tell him to keep a closer watch on those arrows of his...

Hamsters - No longer allowed in Photon's Crossing after the "Manic Hamster Incident."

Zeus - King of the Greek gods. Forever in the doghouse with Hera and somethingsomething to Samm.

Athena - Goddess of wisdom, war, and a whole bunch of other things. Came to collect her errant father from Photon's with an ultimatum.
