Fanfiction.net - The largest
collection of fanfiction on the net. There's a lot of crap a this site; I
can't deny that. But there's also some very good stuff as well. You just
have to do some searching to find those gems.
CFAN
- THE comic fanfiction site. Most of the site is currently closed but
click around and you'll find some really neat stuff, usually under the
"Bits and Pieces" section.
Lois & Clark Fanfic Archive
- The site that got me into
writing fanfiction in the first place. Bless them.
The Family Archives
- The best (and largest!) collection of Bat-family fic I have
ever found. Go tell A.j. how cool she is. And then write her fic because
she can always use more fic.
Birds of a
Feather
- This is part of A.j.'s The Family Archives and is exclusively
devoted to Babs and Dick fiction. I love Babs and Dick and even as a kid,
was rooting for them to get together. They have to be my favorite pairing
in the entire DCU and no one can convince me otherwise. I've invested far
too much into them as it is emotionally.
Yellow on
Black
- Yet another section of The Family Archives, this time for Bruce and
Dinah fiction. I will admit, Batman and Black Canary made me go squick at
first. But then I started reading... and reading... and reading. And
though in my heart of hearts, Batman and Catwoman are the only way to go,
I will admit that Bruce and Dinah are rather... cute together. *grins*
Themed
Response
- The third section of The Family Archives devoted to the DCU. The first
Batgirl and Robin go together. Therefore, it's tradition that Tim and
Cassandra would as well... Right? *sigh* At least we have these stories to
feed our delusions.
Cat Tales by Chris Dee -The funniest Catwoman stories out
there. I cannot recommend these enough. Batman belongs to Catwoman and the
DCU in its current incarnation seems to have forgotten that. Chris Dee is
a remarkably talented writer who gets into the heads of not only the Bat
clan but of Batman's Rogue Gallery. Hilariously done.
Offpanel.net
- A LOT of fic here, almost all of it based in the DCU. Click with caution, because not all of it is PG.
Okay. Very little of it is family-friendly, but when it's so
well-written... Here there be slash.
Young Justice: A
Fanfic Site
- As the link says. Young Justice fiction.
The Gargoyles Saga- A continuation of The Gargoyles TV show. Very well written.
I've only read the 'Gargoyles' series but I plan to read the other series
as well. Now if only Disney will put the dang TV series on DVD. Then I
could feed my obsession even more!
Twisting the Hellmouth
- Hosted by Jinni.
An an open posting archive for Buffy: the Vampire Slayer crossovers so
there's bad mixed in with the good but for there's mainly good for the
most part.
The Medicine
Wheel - The page for Minisinoo's writings in the X-men fandom, both
comic- and movie-verse found here. This woman has to be my favorite writer
in this particular fandom. I highly recommend anything found on her
"Novels" page and her series "Special."
DCU
- Character bios for just about everyone in the DCU.
Titans' Lair - The most comprehensive Titans site I've found yet.
Hasn't been updated recently that I can tell but there's still more than
enough here to keep even the most bored person occupied.
CanaryNoir - The
site for Birds of Prey information.
The Women of Gotham
- No bimbos to be found here. The site has an interesting premise. Too bad
they seemed to have stopped updating it. *sighs* But there is an archive
to poke around in.
The Superboy Source -
The site for Kon-El, the Kid. AKA Superboy. Anything you ever wanted to
know about Kon and more. There's also some very good fic here with
Superboy. Granted, the majority of the stories are Robin-centric (not that
there's anything wrong with that!), but there's also some stuff here that
I can't find anywhere else.
Greenlantern Corps Webpage -
A great site for information about the Green Lanterns. It doesn't seem to
have been updated anytime lately but there's still some good stuff here.
Earth Angel -
The history of Supergirl is confusing even by the standards of DC Comics.
Luckily, there's someone more dedicated than I am to sort it out for us.
Ozy & Millie
- This is one of my favorite comics. It's smart and funny. Read it.
Venus Envy - A wonderfully funny comic that talks about the very serious
issue of transexuality.
Sabrina-Online - What can I say about
this comic other than the main character is a reluctant webpage designer
for a company that produces adult films?
9th Elsewhere
- I read it and was hooked. What
happens when you get trapped in your own dreams?
Something Positive - A delightfully twisted comic. Not for young
readers.
The Wings of Change - Not much I can say
about this except READ IT.
Dominic Deegan - Oracle for hire. Trust me, a lot more to this than
that lame-ass description.
Unicorn Jelly
- An online manga that has a LOT more time and thought put into the
universe than some novels I've read. COMPLETE!
Boy
Meets Boy
- This comic needs no introduction. Well, maybe a little. "Like the
gay odd couple, only sexier." This has to be one of the most
popular comics on the web. I swear, almost everyone has heard of it.
COMPLETE!
Queen of Wands -
Reminds me a lot of Something Positive, and not
just because it's funny. COMPLETE!
Baen Books
- my favorite publisher.
DAW Books
The Science Fiction Book Club
- 'Nuff said.
Fictionwise.com
- I am a huge advocate of ebooks. They're cheap, don't take up
physical space, and save trees. This is one of the
best ebook suppliers around and the one I go to when I want to buy one.
Ebook Library at the
Electronic Text Center, University of Virginia
Bookfinder.com
- I'm a college student and dislike intensely buying textbooks for
exorbitant amounts of money. Before each semester, I go here and
instead of the college bookstore to search for my books. This site is
a godsend. It compares prices at all the bookstores, new and used,
online so you can find the cheapest copy available. I literally save
hundreds each semester by doing this.
- The homepage for Lois McMaster Bujold, my
favorite author. If you haven't read the Miles Vorkosigan books, you
have severely missed out. You know when something's so good that you
can't even pinpoint what makes it so good? That's what Bujold's books
are like for me.

Music Links:
NOTE: These bands and singers
are not the ones you will hear on the radio or will find in the music
area in Target. I would love to have these people have a greater
audience but they don't so I'm doing my part to support them by
advertising them here. I won't link to the more popular stuff I listen
to because, honestly, they get enough publicity as it is. My music
tastes run the entire spectrum more or less. I love Celtic, both rock
and traditional, as well as more alternative styles and just plain
beautiful voices and music who don't fit into any category.
